They are a collections agency. Report them to the State of Texas. Collections agents are not allowed by Federal and State laws from threatening you like that or placing any negative reports on your credit file until they contact you, and even then they have to give you a reasonable amount of time to make reparations or hire an attorney. 48 hours is NOT a reasonable amount of time. 30 days is the usual shortest time frame from contact to action. I worked for a collections agency that started using those strong arm tactics in Florida. They are no longer in business, and the owner is still incarcerated at Butler.
