with 16 years it wouldnt even be a consideration of mine i had a few years under my belt when i hooked up with them. it was worth it for me but i was only able to do 8 months with them. i understand why they hold the drivers hands so much but i didnt need nor want such control on me so i moved on.
nascarchuck and TRKRSHONEY Thank this. -
At five minutes to five last night, the new phone system went wonkers. First we couldn't answer the night bell, then the regular lines and finally everything quit ringing. It was nearly 8pm before the phones came back up, and that includes some of the QC's as well.
Lot's of mad drivers out there (and angry ones too)
Don't blame them.
It was nearly 0100 before we finally caught up with QCs.
My first hope had been someone had used their second amendment rights to put a bullet thru the phone system, but alas....
A suggestion to all of you drivers that don't like the phone system...all 1999 of you...(there must be ONE that likes it?)
Send an email to Todd Aaron and Angela Horowitz. Make it professional and corteous. Tell them what you would like to see to improve it. What your biggest complaints are. Suggestions like, "a direct que for Meat and another for Produce that can be accessed thru an option key...press 2 for Produce, 3 for Meat..." would certainly be high on the list.
As it is now, on nights and weekends, you must wait on hold until one of the two of us can answer the phone, then send you over to that department...only to be told to 'leave a message'.
That's total BS!
Just because some prima donnas don't want to be disturbed, doesn't mean they should treat the drives as they do.
I don't think ownership understands how messed up this system is for both the drivers and the operations people. A flood of professional emails would certainly go a long ways..I hope.
This system was put in primarily to go to VOIP and save the company money. It can easily be configured to help everyone a whole lot more.TRKRSHONEY and Crazy_Aardvark Thank this. -

As for me I was at work at 0600 and just got home about 45 minutes ago (about 2015). I would imagine that most in here that are able to answer your questions were at work today.KMac Thanks this. -
Well, RR told me they would have me back on the road today one way or another. The plan to do this was to have PB remove the damaged fuel tank, have the KW dealer pick it up because they can have it fixed in 4 hours, then bring it back and all PB has to do is put it back on. Right. So I check out of the hotel and go over to PB around 11. They have the tank off, but KW hasn't picked it up yet. They tell me it will be late today if I'm lucky, tomorrow most likely. So at 4 I go down and ask how it's going and they say, we just now got the tank back, so it will be tomorrow. So I'm back at the hotel again. I could have just stayed here. Oh well I should get back on the road tomorrow. Hopefully. I will need to head over to the drop yard in Fontana after I get my truck back and pick up the empty waiting there for me. Then get a load. Then I need to get by the house before the end of the month.

Life would be so much similar if the people in Dallas just chilled a little bit.
I picked up my last load 8 hrs before dld... then had a breakdown that took 8 hrs... should be a wash right?
I get a message saying I have to repower the load so it is not late... I tell them delivery is 19 hrs away, I have 525 m to go, all interstate... trip planing 101... I can make it no problem, 8hr SB split and I also have time to leave receiver... but no I am told, it has to be repowered... So instead of Upstate NY, I get a load to CT that delivers 4 hrs later... 10 miles longer.
The catch? I wait 2 1/2 hrs for the load... now I am down to 1 1/2 hrs extra, oh, and now I will be going over the GWB at about 7am... there goes the other 1 1/2.
So I ran my clock out and parked, took my 8 hrs and woke up to 2 in of snow and freezing rain. So now weather shut down. I am 300 miles out. Hd they left me alone I would be in route to receiver north of this weather pattern and on schedule for an on time delivery.
What was the point of this? What was gained?TRKRSHONEY and Dryver Thank this. -
