If your re-hab was voluntary, probably not. If it was mandated by a legal jurisdiction, maybe. The ? on the app is, "Have you ever been arrested/convicted" ?

It all depends if there's a paper trail. If I were you I would answer the questions on the job applications just as they ask them. If they ask have you ever been arrested then it's simple. If they ask have you ever had a problem with drugs then it's a different story. I commend you on getting the help you needed and some companies with look at it that way. But there's others that do not want to take a chance when they have tons of applications that are spotless. I don't believe they are going to dig into your medical file and besides that it's agains't the law. So you're in a spot where you have to really think on how you are going to answer. Just know if they catch you lying then they could end your career right there.

You say you got a job with Stevens so I aaume you've already filled out all the paperwork or are you talking about a pre-hire letter? If you've already filled out the joib application I hope you didn't cover anything up or lied.

If you haven't filled out any applications then you'll need to be honest. You'll have to think back and remember how you went about getting into treatment. Was it court ordered? If it was then you come clean IF they ask. If it was totally volunteered on your part then who's to tell them? Did the insurance company pay for it? So really think hard and answer the questions as they ask them. You never want to tell them to much but you never ever want to leave the truth out. So like I said answer the questions as the ask them. There's plenty of trucking sites on the net where you can see the job applicatuion. Go find some and get a good idea on what they ask. Good luck and remember you never want to get caught lying on a job application.

ya i filled out the application but my rehab was voluntary i never got into trouble with the law and the rehab was self paid. I left out the drug part cuz im pretty sure jobs cant get into your medical history and i was only on them for a year.
