Jump in, the water is warm. But there's pee and bandaids and stuff floating around. Swim past that crap and spread your wings.

Just don't hook onto a sector of the business saturated with cheap freight, megas, and steering wheel holding. Those are the only ones who need to be worried about electric and or atonymous anything.

No need to worry about electric trucks until someone perfects this.

If you do go o/o make sure you have the cash for breakdowns. You are not fixing cars truck have a lot bigger bills. This year my repair bills are getting close to $35k. Sure this is not the norm. I had to rebuild my engine. Normally it's around $12k a year but you have to be prepared for the big bill. As for electric trucks they are a pipe dream no infrastructure in place for that. At least 10 years away my guess.

What you're describing is called perpetual motion, a machine that produces as much energy as it consumes. You are right that such technology would change the world and put us all out of business. But, considering that at this very moment no such technology exists and probably won't in any of our life times, I wouldn't let that keep you from pursuing your dream of becoming an O/O.

There is no such thing as perpetual motion. Never has been, probably never will be. But man has been chasing after it ever since the dawn of time.

Clearly you don't know much about solar. Also, sounds like you watch too much TV news instead of getting out in the world.

There are a million trucks on the road in America. We don't in any way, not even close, have the infrastructure to make them electric.

Solar panels? Ha! All of the surface area of a truck covered in panels wouldn't begin to move freight down the road. And what do you think is going to happen at night or in winter/cloudy days? Read up on solar. It's a fascinating technology, and a super slow moving one. It's not about to take over. The batteries to store enough juice to move a truck would weigh as much as full trucks do now.

True, there is no such thing as absolute perpetual motion and probably never will be because it goes against the laws of thermodynamics. But, we may some day come close to creating better battery and solar cell technology. No it won't run forever, but they could possibly create electric vehicles that will run for months or years that charges itself most of the way while running. The way they build crap today to fail within a couple years of being manufactured, single use disposable cars don't seem to be that far out of the realm of possibilities. They're practically made that way now.

The least of your problem is going to be electric trucks coming.

If I were you I'd be more concerned with the electronic junk that is in the trucks now...
