Plus, the thief dropped some "Vote For Hillary" bumper stickers.

What amazes me is that my flip phone from 5 years ago can take a better photo than a security camera. In this day and age there is no excuse for poor quality surveillance cameras. Heck if they can read your license plate from a satellite they can surely get a clear photo of a parking lot,

That was my first thought. Cash the check for the truck and trailer from some poor guy. Get your connection to go boost it a few weeks later and then either chop it up or put it on a ship for a black market customer. You could theoretically do that a few times a year and make a killing. I hope they at least gave the guy he bought it from a quick eye ball. It was probably a theft ring targeting the Kubota tractors and the truck and trailer was a nice bonus prize but c'mon how do you get from Ohio all the way down to Mexico in a bright red truck with a load of bright orange tractors in broad daylight without 1 state trooper noticing?

yeah especially on older stuff. That's why people with nice older cars from the 80's and 90's will put a steering wheel lock on them because they're ancient dodos that are a piece of cake to steal. New or newer stuff forget it. 10 times more difficult to steal and most low level car boosters know that and don't even try.

This would be one of those times that technology is nice. I have a 2016 KW and it has a ignition lock code required before the truck will start. You can try to hotwire or jam a screwdriver in the ignition all you want and it still won't start because the computer won't fire the injectors without the code. 5 minutes after I shut the engine down it locks again. I don't even remove the key from the ignition anymore.

Always amazes me when people want to spend the money on a cctv system but then they realize how much a good setup costs so they go cheap and they wind up with cameras with lower resolution than the first camera phone. There are plenty of high quality cctv cameras out there for not a whole ton of money.

Yeah that extra protection in the form of a vicious dog train that thing to go for the throat somebody breaks into your cab.. if one had a very vicious Beast of a dog the thief might just not make it out of the cab. Now that would be some sweet Justice my friends haha

So how about it @ asphalt angel any updates on your on your Peterbilt? Have the police found the truck yet? I'm assuming the thief is still rolling around in the same area that he stole your truck from according to those Cracker Barrel surveillance cams. Some real top-notch cops out there in Georgia there's a fire engine red stolen Peterbilt cruising around on public streets out in front of God and everybody and you mean to tell me that those highly intelligent Georgian officers of the law cannot locate that stolen truck? Come on man... bad cop no donut
