Stop clicking "Weigh Station Closed" on Trucker Path

Because there's no way the officers are doing it . It's ok to see where things are, whether scales, rest areas, truckstops etc, but I ignore the open/close and parking availability for the most part.

 

Rumors are that DOT working at the scale houses will often open up the app themselves and click on that it’s closed to entice overweight truckers to try and drive by. Lol I use the app. Mostly just to find parking spots that aren’t at truckstops. It’s GPS it’s pretty good as well. One thing I will say about the developers, they’re not sitting idly. They’re always improving the app and it’s a lot better now that it was even just six months ago.

 

I’ve parked at a rest stop in Quebec where you could see the lights ahead and the DOT kept turning it closed and I’d mark it open over and over and it had to be DOT because most times there was no other vehicles on the highway.

 

I thought Trucker path was my 2nd most useful tool in the truck. I used it almost all day every day. Users just need to understand it isn't a replacement for your brain, it's a tool to be used properly.

 

I use it mostly for truck stop reviews, can’t really rely on scales or parking statuses.

 

I do to but you sure don’t much help on the other end anymore Ijust either run em or go around em

 

I still do, its just not as active as it once was before all this cell phone craze…..

 

Any back and forth open/closed history usually has me going around if it’s not one of the ones you can’t just blow by
