Thanks for all your advise. But had it in the shop and found out what was going on. The rings had went bad among other things. So it's in the shop right now getting a inframe done to it.

I just had this happen yesterday. No oil blowing out the tube at first. The engine temp after an hour of driving in 119 outside temp, the water temp climbed right to the red line 220, then warning light came on, stop engine light came on. Immediately lost power, turbo boost gauge was bouncing like never before. I added coolant and let it rest overnight. Today, I headed back home around 112 miles, cooler temps, still lacked power, then when I got home after the 112 miles no high temps, low power and oil everywhere when I shut it down, towed vehicle covered and entire rear cap of rv covered. It’s a 2000 Cummins ISC 315 in a Monaco diplomat. The oil was changed last summer and I have driven it several hundred miles since changing oil and never had an issue till now.

    help!!!

My 2000 Monaco ISC 315 8.9 Cummins did exactly what you posted above, yesterday. Lost power water temp220, warning light, stop engine light, all went off as soon as I pulled off the freeway. No oil blowing out at that time, but serious lack of power, Rough running, sounded off balance to me and turbo gauge bounced all over. I added coolant, let it rest overnight. Today I woke up, hit the road for the 112 mile trip home, downhill then mostly flat land. 20 miles from home, the warning light came in slowly blinking then steady. Oil pressure and water temps were reading fine. When I got home and shut it off the entire rear of coach covered in oil and the truck I was towing. Haven’t opened engine bay yet, too afraid. This Happened all at once. Praying it’s a clogged filter somewhere. Motor has 78,750 miles, extremely low to be having this issue. Any help you have would be much appreciated.

    Monaco motor home?

ok here is what I would do, drain the system completely, take the radiator and condenser out (not the condenser but move it) and clean it.

Start with blowing out the fins carefully with low pressure compressed air and the radiator may need to be flushed/boiled out. I would then move onto the rest of the system flushing it out, replacing the coolant additive/filter cartridge and put in fresh coolant.

my pusher has less than 11,000 miles on it, but it will get the same treatment as yours at 25k because it is sitting so much.

For the amount of miles, it should have been done at 50k.
