Had a guy at the T/A Jacksonville South, the clerk spent 5 minutes asking him what his birthdate was, and he didn't know, couldn't speak English. Should have a DOT officer at every fuel desk, they can't speak English to get fuel, truck gets impounds and company's authority yanked. (IF they are even legal.)HalpinUout Thanks this. -
Nope, a S.D. inspector told me during an inspection in early July that they received a memo from FMSCA prohibiting them from impounding a driver who cannot speak or read English. He was specifically speaking of drivers that cannot effectively identify hazmat placards on their trailers. We're screwed.
