I've rolled through a LOT of scales - in fact, when I was expediting and running a little bit outlaw, I didn't have PrePass, also didn't have it when I drove an OLD Freightliner Classic... and in 3.5 years since starting to drive again, I've been inspected ONE time - that was in 2008, my wife and I were teaming, and everyone was getting stopped - MM 182 rest area in AZ (on 40), for the weekly June safety carnival.

I stopped having mom inspect the closet with a flashlight when I was 5... it was by then that I was wearing my big boy underwear.

You either require corrective lenses or you don't. There is no provision for with or without. Since you have been given glasses I would assume by an eye doctor you need them to improve your vision. That would mean you are at a diminished capacity when operating without them and should have reported it on both your medical and license.

    In short they are correct!

I disagree - (a) he could have been been throwing on a pair of reading glasses at the time, or (2) for reference, although I was slightly nearsighted, I could pass the driver's test/eye exam until I was 28 WITHOUT my glasses, so they weren't required on my license. Had worn glasses since age 15.

No, I passed the eye exam without the glasses. I drive without them some of the time and others with them on.

That day, I had sunglasses on.

They cannot make their own laws.

I was going to say "big boy panties", since I usually use the phrase "put on your big girl panties", but I didn't want to take the ribbing that teh phrase would have brought on.

The question is "Do you wear corrective lenses?". That is a yes or no question. Your answer since you do should have been yes and be marked accordingly. You lied by ommission.

Further they either improve your vision or not. If you are driving without them when they would improve your vision that is by definition diminished capacity. Another case of someone believing "good enough" or "just enough to get by" is sufficient. Acceptance of mediocre habits breeds inefficient behaviour. You either require glasses to improve your vision or not it is that #### simple.
