Alrighty. the gift i bought my gf for Christmas last year was a straight talk mobile hot spot. she is an RN for a hospice and truly needs portable wifi that links up or whatever you call it. I was having issues,i am computer illiterate, getting it up and running.
this past weekend we revisited the mobile hot spot thingy and took our time, had what was needed for the initial start up in place (like the unit charged and turned on and in communication with her laptop and a straight talk.com account-the basics) and then called the toll free number.the tech individual was extremely easy to understand. straight talk users that know what i am talking about should think about what i just typed. The dialect of the tech was not an issue.that was refreshing.
10 minutes after dialing the number for set up,we had the computer humming.it is fast and very worth the money.I do suggest that you purchase more than the $15.00 card which is minimal data but to start with,it is fine.adapt accordingly and buy the data you need.
I can now recommend straight talk mobile hot spot and am actually looking into buying one for my home internet.nothing like saving money on something that will work as it is meant to.

for years, phones have included internet.
for years. phones have included hot spot capabilities.
in short, there's no need for a mobile hotspot when you phone already comes with the feature. unless, you're still running the basic phone.
my sister has a mobile hotspot. AND a android phone. she's paying for TWO devices that do the same thing. -
I use the air card for research on the computer and answering phone calls and questions. I do not always have the ability to be on the phone and hotspot all of the time.
It is whatever you feel you want. -
i can see being on a verizon or sprint iphone. or in a 3g signal. for the traveling business trucker that need to be able to call and surf.
but the majority of the population don't have that need.
i have a sprint phone that's internet only. unlimited. i can't afford verizon rates on limited services. if i want to watch netflix or whatever. the sprint phone comes out.
