Stranded by company out of state with no money

I have money now, but there was a time I didn't . Like when I was young.
Think back....
I read all the stories about how most people can't come up with $500
But everyone on the internet has bookoo money in the bank and has never struggled financially.

 

I haven't had a sleeper truck in 11 years. Before that, there was an additional 2 years worth of day cab driving mixed in with some OTR sleeper truck work. I have NEVER ONCE been asked for a motel receipt. Not by the DOT. Not by any carrier. As a company driver, I only turned them in IF I had them because the company reimbursed me for them. Since buying my truck, I have never once turned in a motel receipt. I'm the one paying for the room, so it is MY deduction to claim. If they want the receipt, they can pay for the room. Never has come up, though...nobody has ever asked.

Who knows he could have made up the story cause he was bored.

 

Some people must have a seriously distorted view of reality. The people I'm talking about don't have cell phones OR cars. They are happy if they have a roof over their heads and one good meal a day. It must get lonely up in the ivory tower. Now, if you want to change your original statement to 'anyone who has been driving a truck for any length of time' we can have another discussion but that isn't what you said.

 

The number of employed people in your country who can't afford a car, a cell phone and more than 1 meal a day is much lower than the number getting food stamps. Perhaps your friends aren't using their EBT card properly.

 

I'm beginning to understand the problem now. When facts don't agree you just make up your own. Plus, it's always comical albeit a bit sad when someone from another country thinks they know more about your country than you do. First, I never said anything about my friends. I said I 'know people' so I guess that means you are friends with anyone you know? I have no need to waste any more of my time arguing with someone who thinks they know everything. To what end?
