I also blame Trump for us being busier since he took office. It is ridiculous that I am making more money even with more time off. I would much rather wonder if I am going to have busy weeks and not know. I think @Dave_in_AZ resents his earnings too. Stupid economy.

I think people who invest heavily in the market are very angry, individuals benefitting from a thriving economy. Everyone hates money nowadays!!!!

Man, that was one of the best assessments about life I've ever read on here. So many people think it's so easy to just go make X dollars, or what have you, to rise above current situations, but the reality is, it takes one unforeseen turn in life, like your examples, or poor decsions (like the many Ive made) to end up with bad fortune or bad circumstances that can change your life for years to come...if I hadn't had kids by the wrong women......where would I be? If I hadn't ever got addicted to marijuana, where would I be? 2 bad choices, and my life changed course...a large number of us on here probably slept with the wrong women or did drugs but had the good fortune of dodging major consequences.

And if carriers would place a little more emphasis on keeping existing drivers happier, they could probably reduce their new driver needs and inherent difficulties and costs of recruiting by half, at least.

 

It's funny you post that. I saw some words of wisdom recently and it has stuck with me:

"I believe that an ego can convince a person of invalid truths."

 

Kind of like when people like Oprah say “you have to find your truth”. NOPE. Truth is not subjective, it’s not dependent on your feelings or thoughts. It’s based on facts, and like Ben Shapiro says, facts don’t care about feelings.

 

The facts sure don't. This world don't either. I think people really think that this world is a nice place, and those who are sent out to protect you, you shouldn't fear, quite contrare, but you should fear those groups....schools, government, places of worship

 

Yep, I was a cop for a long time. I think I worked with more “would be” felons than felons I arrested. I wonder if the OP is still stranded?
