So I finish unloading at a customer today and get on the highway. I accelerate and hear a little "thud", and when I let off I hear the thud again. I get a few miles up the road and pull into a rest stop. Pop the hood and look around, nothing. Get back on the highway and it's still doing it. I'm starting to freak out thinking about the thousands it's going to cost to find the thud and get it fixed.
Finally I figure out the noise is coming from behind me. Pull over again, and a can of coke is laying on its side in my nearly empty fridge. When I accelerate, it rolled to one side of the drawer and hit the side, and when I let off, it rolled back and hit the other side of the drawer.
I felt relieved and idiotic at the same time.
Strange engine noise, scared the crap out of me

Somebody a bit tense, although, I've had that happen. Turns out something silly, but seasoned drivers know, it could just as easily be a u-joint coming apart. I think it's great the driver got out and checked it out.
