N.J. tractor-trailer driver charged with killing woman found dead in truck cab in Maryland

 

He wasn't about to go down without a fight:

Deputies placed spike stops in front of and behind the truck after Watley was “argumentative” and wouldn’t speak with them, officials said. Watley then attempted to flee in the truck and continued driving even after his tires went over the spike strips, the sheriff’s office said. He stopped at the exit lane of the distribution center, but still refused to get out of the truck despite repeated request, officials said. A short time later, deputies used pepper spray on him, but Watley remained in the truck cab. Finally, deputies broke a different window, used a stun gun on him and took him into custody.
