Yeah, came out at bozeman i think. It was a long winding road with lots of campers. Never do that again.
Strangest place you ever parked for a 10 hour break?

Not really strange but coolest.
84 race at Daytona, hauled some spotter stand deals in for the Secret Service. They let me spend the whole week in the infield with the truck. Since I was there for that agency I was given a hard card that let me go anywhere in the facility I wanted.
You can see a couple of the stand in the TV coverage from the day. One of them is on the shot of Air Force One landing in the background with the Kings car on the track. I have a big picture of that somewhere. -
The garage, at the Coachella TA center...
I was getting some work done, today, and I was really tired from the drive, so I said I'd just take a nap while they worked. They didn't mind. I asked them to just wake me up when they were done.
Every time I opened my eyes, it was bright behind the curtain, so I didn't think twice. I just kept napping. Naive as I am, I didn't realize it was the lights in the shop.
Finally, someone in the office called my phone, looking for me. Apparently the mechanics switched shifts, no one knew I was asleep in the truck, and I'd slept from noon to 8:30.
Admittedly, it wasn't the full 10 hours, but I find the paper logs to be good at keeping secrets these days when the law doesn't make sense.Last edited: Jan 17, 2016
