Indirect securement means securement goes over top of freight from one side of trailer to the other. Direct securement would be securing directly to the freight and pulling back to the same side of trailer .

I used to work in heavy equipment rentals. Used to laugh when the hacks would strap down light towers and crush the thin sheet metal hoods.

If it's like the one I haul there will be chain tiedowns under the machine inside of the tracks on the main frame so you can run an X for the rear and chain the blade And yes boom chain too

Put them in a dump trailer. They're safe then

Usually there's a hole in the back of the X-frame on the carbody and holes on the side of the blades.

no clue wondered that myself, I guess from Amodelcat response tho there are holes underneath, I never noticed. The bobcat and John Deere smaller equipment seem to be the worse. I’m just stating what I’ve noticed. Next time I do haul 1 I will look much closer. Also some of the really mini cat stuff is a pain also.

In my opinion,2 4" straps is ok providing they go under the track and over the frame.
Also a chain over the blade and one over the bucket.
