Streering wheel shimmy when brakes at low speed

Check your tires also if you have Chinese tires on sometimes the wear funny and cause stuff like that. I had it twice now they wore sort of egg shaped. That’s fun driving. I’m done with “cheap” tires that cost as much or more in the long run.

 

My Freightliner does that sometimes after putting new steers for a short while. Strange I agree check out of round very common over last 10 yrs or so even with good ol USA tires.

 

You need to get the drums trued. I had this issue with a few trucks where I had to replace the drums, truing them up stopped the issue.

 

I’ll put that on my list!!!

 

How did they do it just turned them right?

 

Hey man I have a Cascadia and mine was doing the same thing so I put new shocks all the way around and it stopped the shimmy
