One reason Petes and KWs have good resale is that they can be made into dump trucks easily, not so on Prostars and other integral sleepers.
Plus the fact they are better trucks

I would not say a Kenworth T 680 is a better truck than any of the others including freightliner or even a prostar given the same engines.
The 900 and 660 may be because of the items mentioned above but, I was and am disappointed in the 680 now that they have over 400k miles on them. -

I am of the mind set also that once i buy a truck, i keep it till the wheels falls off. 3 million miles later. Ill Rebuild the engine, and Tranny if the truck has been good.
Now as for integration, I looked at a 2014 Cascadia. Hell the ECM has a fit if one directional light is out, and IT will tell you which light is out. the ECM controls EVERYTHING.
At least on my 09 Prostar - No DEF, I can swap lights around and the ECM doesn't care. So far in 8 yrs and 800K miles, she has been good to me. No Major issues, nothing more so that any other truck make. Just the normal stuff that goes over time.
Im not really caring about resale, since i don't plan on reselling. and i prefer low cost, since why spend more money for basically cosmetic stuff.
and Your right, International was so #### stupid over the MaxxForce engine and #### near Killed themselves with, but i have a Cummins and i run up the hill past Petes.
I am basically looking for comfort, room, dependable, easy to fix, no dealer required to fix.77+ ca
So to that end i have basically 3 options - Stretch my existing Cab , Replace my cab with a custom, or buy a different truck with a 77+ inch sleeper and redo the inside like i already did with my ProStar.
Still want the Cummins and the auto Tranny ii have. and i believe I have enough to add at least 18 inches to what i have.
Oh, And i prefer the slope hood
So with all that said, deciding which way to goBean Jr. Thanks this. -
Ari will do the work, but just get another scrap sleeper and take it apart and use the parts to extend the existing one, that's what I did with my little rv truck.
KANSAS TRANSIT Thanks this. -
A little sarcasm, the most important part is the seat where you spend 11 hours a day, all sleepers look alike when your asleep. Put your money in fuel mileage improvements and HP to make your day easier .
By the way, you haven't passed my Pete going up hill.CorsairFanboy, OLDSKOOLERnWV and Bean Jr. Thank this. -
you sure you haven't seen a white Prostar blow past you?????Bean Jr. Thanks this. -

OLDSKOOLERnWV and Bean Jr. Thank this. -
