Ok, guys and gals. I am looking for information about Specialized Transportation Services and MDS (Morristown Drivers Service). Both out of Tennessee. Hometime, speed governed at and any other information there is.
STS or MDS??

TLD Logistics Services in Knoxville. Off of Watt road. Got assigned my truck today. 2008 KW T2000, inside is pretty nasty with nicotine. Besides a few issues, not the worst truck I have been in by far!!! We shall see what the next few weeks have in store.

I was with MDS for 2 years their safety department people are nice Stephanie will listen to you and help in anyway possible, Pat Taylor is ok, definitely a newbie to the business he will not help you if he feels the "very young owner who knows nothing about the trucking business" isn't going to back you. Daddy bought the company for his son when he graduated, daddy has interest in the NASCAR industry therefore they cater to the sponsors, not what is good for the driver. The load planners and customer service department are very very inexperienced they have no clue how to pre-plan loads and you will sit for hours and sometimes days waiting on a new load. They are going to E-logs shortly and this will definitely hurt MDS because of their dummies in the load planning department. They think because they have a college degree in logistics that they know how to run a trucking company, boy do they have a lot to learn, their turn over rate has gotten very high, paychecks have bounced, they have more trucks sitting instead of rolling, dispatch won't answer your calls. They have had to resort to hiring drivers out of driving school because their good drivers can't get miles because of their load planners. Daddy has to keep pumping money into the company because the son doesn't know jack squat about trucking. I must give credit to the Maintenance shop, they are a great bunch of guys this is the only good thing that i can say about MDS. If it wasn't for the sitting and worrying from one payday to the other i my check was going to bounce, If you don't like the Northeast don't go with MDS this is the majority of their freight, they do more broker loads than anything, and those who know the trucking industry short broker loads don't pay crap after you factor in fuel, driver pay and the brokers cut but it seems like that is all the load planners and customer service know how to do. As the pay you start out at 31 cpm but good luck getting the 35cpm. If you want to be home every weekend and not make a money go with MDS otherwise look elsewhere that's what I did, the grass may not always be greener on the other side BUT at lease I can pay my bills now. The trucks are nice but nice don't pay the bills. Get new load planners that know how to run a truck company bring back your good drivers that have never had late loads and always had their loads picked up on time and maybe your company will make it without daddy having to bale you out each time.

someone knows about MDS , seem they pay 39 cents, plus northeast additional 4 cents? what about the miles, according their website www.mdstrucking.com they go all over 48 and Canada, but seems like only teams go west, solos more on the east, probably lots of northeast, does someone know how much miles you make a week? 7 days out according their web site... whats the deal with MDS,,, no info here,,, outdated ... last post a year ago and don't sound to good, maybe things are better now. thanx for some info

Are you still with Tld? Do you recommend them to a new driver? Conteplating going to their driving school in Crossville and doing the year deal with them.
