I left an office job after 10 years and didnt know how to do much else. Been doing fine so far. Making good money. Seeing the country.

Its hard work, yes. But its also relaxing, easy. Easiest and hardest job Ive done so far. Lots of internal challenges and mental discipline needed.

It's hard on your body and not a healthy job. After some time Make it a priority to learn how to stay healthy while living on the road. Not as easy as it sounds for new drivers like me. You cant just take those trucks anywhere and after 10 hours of driving, all you are going to want to do is park and sleep.

But still many learn the skill and make it work. Its possible to do.

i'd say, a lot of patience and tolerance is required......most of awareness.....safety is critical, a must....pay attention to veteran drivers here, i can say their insight is credible, after 14yrs, i'm still a rookie, just be honest with self......lives, yours and others depending on you......also you're young, this work is a challenge for family, relationships, and you.......but like anything else, you won't know till ya try.....take time to honestly evaluate tha trade offs.......trucking ain't "rocket science" but you become something akin to a "truckernaught" .....
