I had issues starting the truck It will not turn over.
Sometimes tightening the batteries helped.
The mechanic fixed the battery shut off valve and set everything was fine
Truck would not start for 2 hours today.. now it's starting but I'm getting every warning message in the book.
Gas pedal does nothing truck will not idle and shuts off after 5 minutes. I'm literally getting every possible warning message as well as all the lights are on.
It's a Volvo 760 withCummings ISX engine and Eaton Fuller automatic

Clean all of your grounds, test all of your batteries, check all of your cable ends for corrosion, check the maxi fuse coming off of the positive cable for the battery. If you can't find an issue after that, it'll be better to get it in to a shop than try to fix it on the side of the road. If it's in the wiring harness somewhere, it is time consuming to unwrap and find it. If it's an ECM issue, it will need to be reprogrammed if you need a new one.
I had an issue with losing all lights and power when hitting bumps, which ended up being the maxi fuse. Voltage was also fluctuating on the dash from 12.6-13.6V. Moving the cables around and tightening the battery would seem to fix it, but any sort of bump would cause power loss again.Rideandrepair, Flat Earth Trucker and Dave_in_AZ Thank this. -
Grounds. Very possible bad interlink between batteries.
Something is broken in one of the interlinks, a buss, or if they are all cables, one is hanging on by a thread at a connecter.
Start with the one that goes from the truck to the battery box.
You need to take them all apart. Visual won't do it.Flat Earth Trucker Thanks this.
