Hello Everyone,
I just finished a CDL course with a guy in class who had an Armed Robbery on his record a while back and was wondering if anyone knows companies that give a "second chance" in life at a career in this industry. I'm not exactly sure what the details are but i believe his conviction date was around 1998 and should have passed a 10 year mark around 2008. I heard there are some companies out there who will work with you if the situation has been more then 10 years of the conviction date. The fact that he has no experience and is fresh out of school may also not be in his favor, but i though i'd still ask if anyone knows where or who he might want to talk to. Any and all information would be much appreciated. Thanks

Are you that guy?
-
lol .... I though some one would say that .... actually I'm not that guy and I already have a job, but regardless ... do you have anything to contribute on the matter?
-
Now that i think about it ... i wouldn't of been old enough to pull off an armed robbery in 1998 anyways ....
-
Might need to buy a truck or work for an owner op. Construction companies pay ok and will hire almost anyone.
-
Carolina Cargo and C R England accept ex-felons.
-
With the training wages at a lot of these companies he might be tempted to "rob" again
I'm sorry, I just couldn't resist the poke. There will be a place for him to call home, just have to do some research.

Depends on where he's located. If he's in an area where drivers are in demand, he should be able to get hired on.
North Dakota and South Texas are two hot spots right now.
A word of advice to him, though= Be honest with whomever he's applying for. Don't try to hide a felony conviction. -
yes he can check the small companys its not as hard as you might think i have two felony convictions crst approved me but i went with a small local company
