Student needing advice starting with CRST on sept 10th 2012

I was just told by a recruiter that they don't want you to train at a school because they can't be sure you learned the proper way to drive one of their very expensive trucks. She said if you go to one of those schools first we won't hire you and NO ONE will hire you. Hmmm? What do y'all think?

 

Don't sound right to me. I am at Roehl and nobody hear has heard of my school and vice versa. I am the first from my school to come and they have been "Rollin' Since '83." Roehl had no problem hiring me and I am pretty satisfied with the company so far.

 

Try to get a trainer that's dedicated to training no one fresh out of lead class don't be afraid to voice your opinions. Also you would be better off going through a real school than crst I'm stuck lol

 

That's not right you get more education if u go private. Crst is cool to an extent but they are behind in some serious categories. Don't go to Kirkwood if you don't have to. I had to but I'm thinking about becoming a lead

 

Hello, I am thinking seriously about going to train with crst. I don't know about the team part of it. And sleeping..Is it very hard to sleep while the truck is moving? Do you hear the radio etc? I have trouble sleeping and don't want to get into that and kill someone..What's the sleeper berth like?

 

Yes it is difficult at first I would try to go to a private school not crst

 

Lol. WTF? Any good trucking company wants to hire people from a school. I am in a private school in middle Tennessee, and recruiters flood our school trying to get us to sign with them. Whoever you heard that from sounds like a hack.
