My typical day my only full meal is after I finish my shift and before I sleep. I eat a couple energy bars, an apple, a banana, and drink coffee during my shift. Barely taking the edge off hunger during the day helps me stay alert.

CG, I'm no neat freak by any stretch, but I sure seem to be acquiring some OCD traits after going solo in my own truck. For one thing what's better to do when you're finished driving or on a 34? Company won't pay for a truck wash? Fine! I'll make the inside spotless and make sure everything is squared away, in it's place, and position memorized for emergencies.

I usually eat 1-2 meals a day, if im sitting around I end up eating more, if im busy driving a full shift I eat 1 meal normally. When im at home my wife makes me eat all meals, the last couple months being out on the road I have lost over 30 lbs so far and plan to keep losing.

I dont know trucking this way.. I hate your seeing this, but some guys are just plain PIGS!! I was in a shop one time in Ft.Worth when they told a team to get their truck gone as is it had never been there. They had a hole cut in the floorboard where they used the bathroom in their truck while going down the road. Unreal! And anyway, you know what the truck was coated with under the cab and throughout the drives. And second, learn how to eat out of your truck through Wal Mart. I spend 50 to 75 a week.

Reminds me of riding a train in China in the '80's. The toilet was a hole in the floor. It was disconcerting to have rails flying by under my anal orifice, let alone the updraft...

They had a hole cut in the floorboard where they used the bathroom in their truck while going down the road:biggrin_25523: That story has been told so many times over the years its pityful , has been various versions of everything from 4 guys in a new PETE to 1 guy in an old international.

Including driveshaft was out of round from the TP hanging on it , to cop car pulled them over after his windshield was covered with what the cop thought was MUD

Either the OP is trolling (look at his forum handle), or he/she is serious. If the OP is serious, my God this is disgusting. Welcome to the reason why the FMCSA mandated the 30 minute break after 8 hours of on-duty time.

I have heard and seen some nasty things people do in their truck so I can believe partially any story to a point. You wont find a hole or a bucket in my truck, if your that sick you take the day off and stay near a bathroom.

A piss jug is one thing but a can to crap in? wow....

It's funny you mention that, as a kid (around 11) my family traveled by train from Peking {now Beijing) to the beach back in the 70's. I do remember those toilets lol. As a kid I thought it was neat, now I reckon it would feel a little weird.

Reminds me of 2 tales carpenters tell. One is where a carpenter putting sheathing down on a roof and a gust of wind blew right when he was carrying a piece of plywood. It blew him off the roof but he rode the plywood down to the ground like a sail. The second one is to always have a straight clawed hammer, cause if you start to fall and slide down the roof, you can bury the claw into the sheathing and stop your slide to the edge.
Every old carpenter has a friend or a friend of a friend that these things have happened to... LOL!
