    He has to pay almost 700 grand you would think he would at least get to keep what he paid for LOL

    Do any of you notice....ever.

    When John Q Public is fined in this manner. The fine is given to the "company" that has been damaged.

    But when the government fines a company on the behalf of John Q Public....the money goes to the government. And John Q is generally the one that ponies up the fine, through higher cost. Not the company.

    The tobacco companies are a prime example.... Here in MS 50 cents per pack is sent to the state as part of their settlement. This is on top of actual cost and taxes...
