I can usually rack up at least $60-$70 worth of Loves points every month (diamond status 4x points) and decided one day to save up for things I want/need cause it'd basically be free.
Bought a lot of #### so far:
Bearcat 880 cb $150
Fire stick antennas $30
Blue Parrot xt+ $120
Garmin dash cam $180
Midland action cam $150
Monster portable speaker $100
2000 watt power drive inverter $230
6ft durable (orange) lighting cable and micro usb $52
Dual outlet/car charger (the 3.2 amp one) $25
Loves' point reward system is unmatched, only place I'll ever fuel.
Also, grabbed a Rand McNally 530 (brand new) for $140 from a driver some time ago. He bought it with points and wanted to make money from it, worked him down from $250. -
I bought two teriyaki ka bobs at the J in Belgrade last week. Two corn dogs, same location the next day after I was reloaded and on my way out of Montana. Don't go to the J's & Pilot much anymore, but that's where the office sent my new IFTA stickers.
That's a really nice J might I add.
There was some middle eastern driver in there, near the coffee pots when I walked in, it was a 500 mile day ( 300 on two lane ) around the Montana wilderness in a blizzard, and he was crying to someone on his phone "Ohhhhhh my God, we stuck here in the worst place on earth, ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh."
I burst into laughter right in his face, and that made the girl at the fuel desk start laughing, and she was trying to hold it, and that made it even funnier.
He was not pleased, and mumbled something in Arabic , then left.
I told everyone this was a fabulous truck stop, food, coffee, a really great TV room upstairs, some nice girls, even though they wouldn't have sex with me, but definitely an awesome place in the middle of the frozen wilderness. -
PS: I think the OP means stuff you buy from entrepreneurs hawking goods in the parking lot, usually advertising on 19, not in the store.
I bought some shop rags and terry hand towels off a guy at the Roanoke VA TA before they closed it. They were $5 a bundle. I think 25-30 shop rags in that one, might have been a dozen of the terry towels in the other. I should have gotten two bundles of the hand towels. They're perfect for cleaning/drying the dog when it's raining.
I won't mess with the laptops or other electronics. Too likely to be stolen.
@blairandgretchen the Phil Moore story is f'n funny, I don't care who you are!blairandgretchen Thanks this. -
Havent bought anything yet but i need to catch 1 of these guys down on their luck on a friday for a deal on a linear

I was giving away lots of good stuff when Weiner made me clean out my truck at the Indy terminal. 12V lunchbox cooler, hand-finished walking stick I picked up in OK, small electric space heater..... (Bunk heater worked like crap, and I had an inverter, so hey....)
As for what I've bought, I've got a strap winder that broke under light usage (gonna get it welded), a ratchet spinner-thingy, and the only stuff I still have, truck stop guidebook, Cobra Bluetooth headset (it was cheap, and my ex was spending all the money), and I think my atlas was purchased from the company store.
Now on my short list to pick up, Cobra 29, Garmin GPS, and probably a new 64oz mug. I'm sure there's more I'm forgetting.
