You are right chinatown about flatbed. You can make better money but it takes longer to get the hang of it.

Plus you do work a whole lot harder.I always say skateboard drivers earn their money.

I do think you need to reconsider your list though. Most of those companies I haven't heard anything good on.

Depending on how far east in Tennessee he lives I dont think Gordon will take him but he can ask.
I live in Cookeville, tn for a reference.

I've done van, reefer, flatbed, tanker. I really enjoyed flatbed the most, but made the best money with tanker.

I stayed with Werner for so long to get the exp. That's about the only good thing about starter companies is to get the exp. They use students/drivers and we use them.I left because I didn't get the miles. If you wanna succeed in this industry you have to get exp and don't complain about miles or where they send you.All that does is make it a bad relationship between you and your dispatcher. You really do have to suck it up and get the exp, then you can go on to bigger and better things. If you quit a company and try another company due to lack of miles, the pay, where they send you ect,all you'll be doing is going from one bad company to another. That's why it's important do thouroughly do your homework on companies.
