Yes, and it sickens me that people are ignorant enough to cast judgement on a homeless person. It doesn't take much for you to lose everything you worked for.

If the United States of America is able to ship incredible amounts of money, food, supplies, medical aid, and foreign aid to foreign countries year after year, then why is there a problem of hunger and homelessness in the United States of America?
God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.! -
And what have you done for a homeless person lately.?...Just asking..CenutryClass Thanks this.

encouraging words for the poster

I hear that. These ignorant ppl have no idea,no clue what so ever what its like to be the less fortunate but are sure quick to judge.I'm not there,I don't know this entire story. What we can do is give this poster the benefit of the doubt rather then working against him. Some of the posts may sound like bashing which could very well be just misunderstanding.Last edited: Jul 28, 2013
landstar8891 Thanks this. -
A lot of it isn't judging homeless people as much as having an opinion of people wanting to get in a truck to use it as a shelter. The OP had no interest in trucking until he needed a place to sleep.
The fact that he allowed himself to become obese shows there are higher odds of failure. Most likely he won't pass agility tests required by many carriers.landstar8891 Thanks this. -
There is hunger and homelessness in American for several reasons. Labor unions drove textile industries from the South. Other industries followed suit and outsourced jobs and built plants in Mexico. With some like Daimler and Navistar it was just to increase profits. For others it was because increasing costs like healthcare and employee pensions made it impossible to survive. Companies that didn't outsource just shut down.

Being obease does pose a problem. But using trucking for shelter for any homeless person I don't see a problem with that as long as they can still do the job.Kill 2 birds with 1 stone, make money and have shelter.Alot of the posts I didn't take as bashing, but more like opionated. Some could have been a tad less voiceterous.Right now this op is hurting and the last thing he needs is ppl coming down on him.

And then there is ''Lazy'' people wanting something for nothing. Some ''choose'' to live that way.We can't forget about our alcoholic and drug addicted friends, panhandling in the super markets for another hit of crack or swig of the wine bottle..THESE ONES DID IT TO THEMSELVES..They have no one to blame but the person in the mirror...Raiderfanatic Thanks this.
