Another question: If you are heavy do you just go back to the shipper?

My current load is like that.

Gross is 79,960 with ~1/2 tank of fuel.
    Really close.
    Steers - 12,200
    Drive - 34,240
    Trailer - 33,520
That was my re-weigh, after which I moved it 1 hole forward.

Good to go, but I can't have much more than 1/2 tank of fuel and stay legal.

Don't go through a bridge weight state. You are over on your drives and they will nail you. Alabama nailed me for the same situation..

Like I said, I moved it 1 hole.
That would put my drives, just barely, under 34k.

I think he meant you are 200 over on your steers. In some states anyway.

You always have to check the Atlas for all of the states you are going threw.

I'm driving a ProStar, and the fuel tanks place the weight on the steers.
Nothing I can do about it.
With full tanks the steers are 12,700.

left a scale with 14,000 on the steers, never was a problem so get over this 12,000 bs. learn to read a map, almost every state is if your axle or tires can handle more than who cares about the 12,000. and alabama isnt specified about the weight so in my mind that means can have as much as either of them is rated for.

to get back on topic had a bol that said i had 37,000 in the trailer, in reality i had 49,000 when i weighed 86,000. that was a nice argument with the shipper.

You proclaim to be 20 yrs on Experience yet post such nonsense to a pblic forum ?(never mind the reference to origins at Swift)
Majority of the 48 will let you slide a good margin as long as your not over GVW,being (alledged)20yrs out you should know this ??

What is there not to understand ?:biggrin_2556:
