I hate using transflo to send our paperwork to Landstar and not to mention stopping at Pilot's or Loves when I don't have to, so do anybody have any recommendations for scanner's to scan paperwork via my laptop

I use a Brother multifunction printer to scan and print. Mine is the Brother MFC J615W, but you can use any scanner to scan into your computer. I know with Landstar Direct Scan, it automatically defaults to that printer when I want to scan a paper to corporate.
Do you have Direct Scan on your computer yet? The first step is to install it on your computer if you don't have it yet. You'll find the link for it here; http://websphere.landstaronline.com/pubapps/directscan/directscan.htm
As far as I know, this is the only way you can scan direct to Landstar from your truck. Without that, you have to use the truck stop services. I've never used them, as I've used Direct Scan since I started here. -
The Neat Scanner works for LS . I have a friend that uses it to scan his stuff to LS he loves the thing actually that's who told me about the scanner . It does allot more than just scan the thing is amazing how it organizes things and you can pull them back up in the data base if you need them and print it right out with out having a 1000 sep PDF files on your hard drives

I use my Samsung Galaxy Note 3 cell phone for everything. Some of the scanning apps I use are Transflo Mobile, CamScanner, and Genius Scan. Also, the Google Drive app has scanning capabilities build right in. It really has become pointless and unnecessary to carry around laptops and scanners anymore since we are in the mobile age now.

I found a mobile app the other day called Drive Line used it once so far not sure I'm in love with it yet -
