Does that run off of twelve volt, or are you running an invertor?

We use Cam Scanner and then email the files to a computer and send them from there. It works great. No need for more hardware.

A scan is a digital picture. WHy cant you snap a pic and attach it to an email? Are they really that antiquated?

I use "Mobile Doc Scanner" on my android phone, and email them a PDF file. App is free in google app store, I can also print from same app if needed.

I have a Brother scanner in one truck and a Kodak in another. I can't say which one I like more, but if I have to buy another one this is what I'm going to look for.

Don't buy a scanner/printer combo that will not let you print in black and white, because the color is out!!!!!
A lot of scanners seem to "go into cleaning mode" automatically, that is doing nothing but wasting away ink that your never going to use, color.
And then it won't do anything until you buy some more color ink, only to print in black and white. They program these things to sell ink

    Cetane+ Thanks this.

Since the rough roads killed my all in one printer scanner I have used Genius Scan on my I-phone. It's good for 99% of what I need a scanner for. I pressed an old printer/flatbed scanner back into service for the 1% of the time I need a better quality scan to send.

    I have this one
    http://www.xeroxscanners.com/en/us/products/XMS/default.asp?PN=XMS

It's small and works really good, you can plug it into your computer or set it up with an Eye-Fi card and when you scan it will send directly to your phone, I have used it for Trippak and Transflo, as well as normal scanning and emailing. There are much cheaper places to buy it from, so shop around.
