Is AC acceptable in a personal vehicle or is that bad too.

Why didn't you put your window screens on when you did your spring cleaning ? The rest of us did .. or are you still riding around in your winter filth ?

I’d rather be a wimpy steering wheel holder with some blasting AC in this heat than a macho super trucker riding around with no AC and a high stick shift!!

I can understand OP. On a good 70-80 degree day with low humidity the air from having the windows down feel better than the cold AC. OP you can run some bug deflectors on the hood and windows it’ll help abit. Some will still find their way in.

Modern vehicles aren’t designed to be driven at highway speed with the windows open, which is why they no longer have vent windows (sometimes called wing vents), which not only provided ventilation but also deflected airflow away from the windows when open.

I remember having an old Jeep Wrangler that had those and no AC. Those worked pretty good. It could be 100 degrees out and you’d be comfy. Problem was when you had start and stop traffic you’d be miserable top of that the one I had must of had a bad slave cylinder cause that clutch was heavy but I never got to it cause the mofos put it inside the transmission and I didn’t feel too confident in doing it myself.

Just a little custom wind deflector on the door edge may solve that. Just need to experiment with it.

Soooooo.. let me get this straight this mid June 2022..with Temps in the midwest at 95 -100° with 80% humidity...and you are driving a aerodynamic truck.... with A/C ?
But yet you complaining about bugs hitting you while driving with the window down
IDK I drive a 1985 truck with wing vents I hardly ever open themand complain more about the A/C not blowing enough cold air..
This isn't 1968 and your driving a B model Mack .. BTW if it was you would get laughed out of a truck stop for crying about a Bee strike and bugs hitting you & moth guts on your cheek..
Suck it up... or roll the window up butter cup

Hey now. It’s 2022 and We are on our 19th straight day of 100+ temps and it’s not officially summer yet. I drive either my ‘67 351 72 4000 or ‘72 c10 pickup depending on what I’m doing that day. I have no ac in any of them. Which one you wanna drive this morning? Lol!
