Hey guys. My name is Brandon. I just turned 24 and Im going to try not to kill myself out on the road. lol. I decided not to go through school since I already have a truck to teach myself with. So I have been teaching myself and have learned a great deal in the past month or so. I didnt know anyone that had a truck or could teach me when we first got it. I got my permit in the first week of this adventure and have been practicing driving bobtail and with a 53' trailer. I noticed a lot of people having trouble backing up with trailers but it doesnt seem to hard to me. First time ever in the driver seat, a couple weeks ago, within 5 minutes I pulled out of one spot and right into another. Never drove anything bigger than my hondas until then. lol.
As you can tell I am quite proud of myself so far but I know I still have much to learn which Im sure will all come in time and practice. Anywho, heres some pics of my rig and trailers. Shes a 96 Freightliner FLD120. Its only got 530k on it!
When we first got her.
After a much needed wash
LMK what you guys think. And any advice is appreciated. Thanks!
Super noob from FL

Nice truck, my first was a 97 FLD, had good luck with it actually, despite what all the experts on here will tell you!
I never went to school, did same thing you did. Worked out totally fine.Bum_Jesus Thanks this. -
Thanks guys. Yea she runs pretty good. I was told it was going to need a clutch soon but other than that its great so far. Little hiccups here and there. But I greased up all the joints, driveshaft and clutch bearing. Seems to be in good shape for the year.
