I'd love to hear more about this company. I am just getting ready to start out....I originally went to school and got my CDL back in 2008, but I never used it.....so, I have to go thru all over again, even tho I just renewed it, and got the tanker endorsement. Seems 6 yrs is just too long, having never been behind the wheel working....so, back to school I go. After that, I'd like to hook up with a local Jacksonville company, but I may look around......
Any info is good info!
Thanks!!

Every month 400 people find a job with the help of TruckersReport.

PeterbiltBound7077 , I'm getting ready to speak to a recruiter from SS, and would like to hear some straight info. Been reading SO many conflicting stories here on Truckers Report, not sure what to believe and what to let go. BTW, I hope all is well with your daughter.
I'm a recent graduate of a CDL school (8/15/14), and I've been applying to alot of companies. Right now, I'm slated to attend orientation for Stevens Transport in Dallas on 10/5/14, but there are a few things about that company I'm still shaky about. For instance, 026 cpm, the requirement of a passport, hazmat that is not reimbursed, unpaid orientation, just to name a few. Though they do offer tuition reimbursement.
So tell me whatever you can about Super Service!
Thanks! -

With the exception being some unsafe drivers out there....but isn't that an individual thing, or does it have the blanket effect on all the other, safer drivers? -
I drove for them 16 months Pros: good trucks 2012 - 2015 they do a PM every 25,000, lots of freight to move & easy to get paid. Cons: bad Drive managers, they talk down to you & could care less about your days off. You have to fight them to get home when you want to. Old trailers(8 years & up) they are always talking about the quarterly bonus you will never get & they do everything they can to not pay it & never tell you why you didn't get it. They have some type of spy service that will follow you when you are driving to see how fast you are going, proper space maintained , using signals, seat belts or on a phone. They got me said I was following 7 seconds instead of 8 seconds. AWFUL driver lounges at the terminals. Somerset & Atlanta being the worse with filthy showers & dirty floors broken furniture that looks like it's from the 80's. Every time I was at somerset they didn't even have paper towels to dry your hands on after you washed them. If you don't care when you get home then this could be a good company for you.

Another bad thing about Super Service is they won't pay for you to run on the Ohio & Indiana toll road. For example if you are headed west on 80 out of Pennsylvania to Iowa, where 80 turns in to the toll portion they make you take 76 over to 77 & then down to 30 & then you take 30 all the way to Illinois. Then you pick 80 up again. But they pay you as if you took 80 all the way. They don't give you any extra for all those additional miles or the time it takes for that route. And if you're heavy the indiana portion of 30 goes through a lot of small towns with stop lights which takes up more of your time

After reading horrible reviews about this company I must say it was refreshing to see a positive reading about this company.. I applied and got accepted I am just making sure things are well on the home front before I go.. thanks
