Well forget this as I didn't catch this isn't US law, but after looking further, US laws seem to be close to the same

We've been worried about losing aquired vacations and PTO, and have yet to hear anything from SBL, or recently aquired Miller drivers.... but this is something I ran across trying to find out, which gives me hope we won't.

Q: What is the impact of an employee’s length of service at the place of business on the purchasing employer’s calculation of wages?

A: If employees continue working for the business with the new employer, that employer is required to recognize employees’ length of service with the previous ownership when calculating minimum entitlements such as vacation pay and compensation for length of service. The new employer must consider the date the employee commenced work at the place of business, not the new purchase date. For more information, visit the Government’s Interpretation Manual – Section 97 – Sale of a Business.

Takeover: an act of assuming control of something, especially the buying out of one company by another:
Merger: a combination of two things, especially companies, into one:

Superior is not being Merged with Heniff. Superior is becoming Heniff. There is a huge difference.

You also cannot compare this to when Heniff acquired Miller. Miller is a completely different company. It only made since to keep it as it was. It makes more sense to Suck Superior up and make it Heniff.

So what is Heniff's Pay Structure?
    Pay for local and OTR?
    Pay for local loaders?
    Any OT for local drivers?
    Benefit package?

    From Slim Shady, pg. 24
    Heniff pay scale:

    For Regional and OTR
Percentage pay 27 or 28% not exactly positive, hourly starts at $23.hr
Local starts at $23. Hr with ot after 40
Raises at $1 hr after 1,3,5 years
After 1 year you get 14 vacation days
6 or 7 holidays, saftey bonuses monthly.
For me (local driver)its usually $150-250 a month.
401k with company match, its basically
$25 match for $100, they'll match up to 8% max.
    Insurance?.dont use theirs

Heniff pays OT after 40 for their local drivers

New guys start at $23hr tops out at ?
    Raises at 1 3 5 yrs of $1.00.
But I've had $3.00 hr raises on my 6 yrs above and beyond the scheduled raises
    We have had random raises

Just looking through this.... so ONLY 2 weeks vacation after 1 year? Do you get an extra week after say 7 or 8 years? My husband's really looking forward to 3 weeks off now that he's into his 8th year. Just wondering as we're hoping he doesn't lose it, according to what I've read it doesn't look like he should, but I'm sure it all depends on Heniffs benefit package.

He currently does a lot of local, so he's hoping to continue doing that.... if so, the jump in pay which includes ot look really good

You get 14 days vacation after 1 yr
Why 14 and not 15 for 3 weeks?
    Idk.

Guess we've always looked at 3 weeks as 21 days, which includes the weekends.... So 3 full weeks

That's the pay before Olympus bought them. Hopefully it won't go down.
