Superior Carriers & Henniff

Another thing.... Big Problem for us, we had life insurance through Superior, $250k on the hubby and $100k on me for a reasonable price, that ends with the change over and is not portable. For the same Insurance through Heniff it's twice as much. And to look to buy privately... well good luck with finding anything affordable at 62 and in the middle of a pandemic

So Frustrating

 

I’m told that the superior carrier logos are suppose to start coming off the truck and trailers after the first of the year, although heniff has developed a bad reputation with some customers down here in Texas. So with everything being changed to heniff, not sure how this is going to workout with those customers

 

Just wait, Trimac is going to swoop in and buy the whole shebang, lol.

 

I'm saddened to hear the insurances aren't as good. Superior was such a good company.

Was getting tired of OTR, so I got a local job. Heniff's policies (that were told to us at the peoplenet training) and their cameras made it much easier for me to leave.

Before I left Superior, a supervisor at a shipping plant told me Heniff wasn't allowed at some terminals. Your comment makes me think that may be true. Perhaps one of their drivers made a mistake?

 

That would be a good thing , right? This Heniff/Superior merger looks sketchy as hell.

 

I'd always heard Schneider's tanker division faced similar restrictions and the other players in the industry had reaped the benefits. I've also heard Heniff has been benefiting from using Superior's good name and credit over the course of this year. If that's the case it seems a puzzling move to completely deep-six the Superior brand in favor of something that appears to have an inferior reputation in the industry?

 

Many would say Superior has a few things that are better, like the insurance. But some people have an ego and want their name on everything.

Unfortunately my past experience has taught me that ego typically isn't a good long term business strategy nor is it usually a good work environment for the rank and file.

 

Does anyone know how long it takes for superior to approve me to be hired? I did all the testing 2 weeks ago?

 

Been having some pretty serious issues w/ pay the last 2-3 weeks as in significantly short. Anyone else having these issues and more importantly are there any resolutions forthcoming?
