Hopefully I did not do the math wrong, that would be embarrassing! Paid miles for last week were 2,871. Gross income was $1505.53.

With accessory pay that works out to .524 cpm for all miles (loaded and empty). I don't guess that's too bad.

You're lucky. Schneider doesn't pay holidays or tankwash pay. NO nyc pay either. I don't even know what sleeper berth pay is. Detention is $10hr only at a customer/shipper. Stuck at the railyard? Too bad. Despite all that, it is possible to make 60-65k here. But you better not have a family, or maybe you get lucky and they put you on a nice dedicated account. But that requires you to be real good buddies with someone.

Interesting...I talked to a Superior Carrier driver for about an hour yesterday

He's been there 10 years , and i was impressed with what he told me about the Co.

They even have a terminal 30 miles from my house in Ga

Guess I gotta do right by myself and look into it.... what he described is

light years ahead of where i am now as far as driver/activity pay.

Just got a call from the terminal manager checking on me. They are ready for me. I have about 30 or so days left until I go on terminal leave from the Army. Then I will do my refresher and start pulling tanks!

Totally agree. I am retired Navy! They should kept 4 Iowa Class and refurbished them with 2 nuclear reactors, Aegis Radar Systems and Vertical Launch Systems (VLS) in several 5 inch areas or the top 16 inch gun turret!

I am currently an L/P O/O with Mercer Transportation. I am interested in increasing my experience in Tanker/Chemicals. And YES I am tired of this Lease...LOL!

I have 2 years experience in the Oil Field hauling Crude Oil. I live in the Houston, TX area. I wanted to ask a few questions of drivers.
    1. What areas does the Houston (Pasadena) Terminal support and if anyone knew often they go to Canada and what parts? The recruiter just said all lower 48 and Canada
    2. How many miles do they average per week and how long do they stay out?
    3. How much Home Time am I aloted?
    4. What kind of trucks do they have and are they Automatics or Manuals?
    5. What does Sleeper Berth Pay mean?
    6. What type of chemicals do they haul?

And any other info would be greatly appreciated!!!

    Thanks in Advance
