Called up supply one in moorestown, nj asking of hiring. The receptionist was soo rude. She didnt answer my question of they are hiring or not but she said you can always come in and fill out an app. I said could you find out so i dont fill out an app of your not hiring. She said if you dont want to come in then good bye. Very rude. Dunno if the rest of the company is this way. Dont want to find out either.

Don't get mad if you don't have the initiative to go and fill the app out.

Dinomite, ralph, j3411 and 1 other person Thank this. -
You can often judge a company by the way you're treated initially by a single phone call. If the receptionist/person answering the phone is rude it means she/they have little fear of retaliation from above which means management of the company allows office personnel to treat employees like dirt which in turn probably means management treats their employees like dirt. Shat runs downhill. Supply One, huh? Won't forget that name.

Sometimes, companies aren't actually hiring, per se, but if a good candidate comes along, they'll bring him on board. As an example, a company might be operating with a man down and filling his spot with others doing overtime etc. They feel it's easier than doing the hiring process, especially companies that only occassionally hire someone. Have you considered a temp agency ? You get some hours and can try out different companies and can refuse an assignment.

I don't know how that's rude. She invited you to come fill out an app. That's not rude. Not to mention she is the receptionist. She's not privy to hiring practice. Could you imagine having to interrupt your day to get up an ask every five minutes about jobs? Sorry man. She was doing her job and you were being a pain in the butt

If I flipped out every time somebody in this buisness was rude to me I'd be in the looney bin by now.
Everybody has bad days and bad attitudes sometimes.
These people aren't working at Disney World ya know.
If you we're to actually go in there and fill out an application it could turn out to be the best job you ever had.....Dinomite Thanks this. -
