Support Thread for the TND 500, TND 700 or future Rand McNally products. (part two)

First two attempts to download map update failed (on a 10Mbps connection). Giving it 1 more try today

 

A huge thanks to Mark for helping me with my map update issues. There's not too many people out there who will access your computer remotely and get the update to go on a Saturday afternoon. Thanks again!

 

I used my thumbnail, and had no problems with it. Map update successful -- now Hubby can play with the new maps come Monday!

Did the map update today with a lot of help from Mark. I think it was about a 45-minute download on a 144 Mbps cable connection, and about another hour and 10 minutes of Mark's troubleshooting. But it looks like everything is good to go. Thanks again, Mark!

Thanks again Mark for fixing the problem. I couldn't have done it without you.

 

Got the download to work. Could be coincidence, but the 3rd time I turned off my computer's sleep settings. Files transferred fine, my preferences appear to have been saved, verified that it now routes on US23 from Indy to Detroit & that the TX130 toll road is now complete in the system.

Haven't had much time to play around as I've been at home, but I do like that you can now zoom in on the map summary/overview screen...
