mark, no offense, but it was me that posted that thar picture on how tiny the shields on roads are (hadn't thought to look at road name size till just now) and for ME, yes it is quite a critical item as I have to get about 2 feet closer to the tablet version in order to read the badge (the gps sits about 4.5 feet away from me)

(checked road names, they ARE physically smaller but not by much (might tilt head forward 6 inches to read clearly on the tablet)

so is this ver update to the 720 literally the same software for all 3 (720/730/T80)? with the t80 just being physically larger, (and therefore a seventh larger in scale?)

Everybody has different eyesight. By saying critical on an open forum it will blow up to a highly critical mass overload. :biggrin_25514:

The Icon size and Font size may be a tad too small to read at a distance. I will query this to the testers. They have been running about two months and no feedback to this issue.

I have also send this up to RM.

It could depend on where it is placed in the truck. From where you sit, how far is it to the tablet?

    Thanks,
    Mark

AH, the first one to ask. It is in the works to allow the Dock to do this from an TND to the Tablet, but for right now it has to be done manually.

PM me on this one. I take it you are computer savvy?

    Thanks,
    Mark

UPDATE: The new map is now installed on both units using my PC laptop. Each one only took about 15 minutes total.

    Mark Kling Thanks this.

Can custom poi files be added to the tablets maps? How about custom CSV files?

Mark, I have a quick question. What is the speed of the processor in the TND 730? Just wanting to know so I can have a comparison to the new TND Tablet, should I be willing to get one. Thanks
