    Not at all.. i do believe it would have been nice if rm had sent an email to everyone with complete instructions on downloading the new map updates...it would have prevented a lot of issues since i was fortunate to be on this site and knew of the instruction i waited to see what problems cropped up before i did my update.

    many did not follow marks instructions and encountered problems whereas i followed them to the "t" and had no problems..

    Depends but Garmin does quarterly updates so there not that big. Last update was large because they upgraded there maps software. And if u have a older device it'll need a SD card like rm does on old devices.

    My Rand IND 520 is giving a corrupt data error. The doc software says the device is not connected buy says there is a map up date and to install a 8G SD card.
    Is this the cause of my error or are there other issues going on.
    All so. When I plug the 520 up Windows wants to format it.

    Find a high speed, dedicated internet connection , then contact Mark... He will fix it for you. I will do the same
    asap...
