Sounds like you have a corrupt file.. Have you updated and try to run D/R yet?

It won't update (at least it didn't last week when I was home, just says update failed and won't transfer the files). And of course I left my laptop at home like an idiot. Not going home for a few weeks either.

 

AH.... when you get close to going home let me know and we can set up a time to work on it remotely.

Note - I will be at MATS the week of 23-29 March. If you are around and can stop by the booth we can look at it and fix it. Your laptop would be needed also to fix the internal TND files.

Can you check to see if the new Wilco Hess at I-65 exit 304 in Alabama will be in a future update? I don't have a street address, and I'm not sure whether that is Cullman or Good Hope, but Hubby saw a billboard advertising that WH today, so apparently it's open. If you have already addressed this and I somehow missed it, please forgive my oversight. Thanks!

 

TND Tablet...2 issues:

1) GPS keeps losing signal, was gone all day today. Per GPS app, no fix but seeing 9-12 sats

2) RM launcher not showing anything, just blank screen. Can still launch truck GPS the long way.

Also, RM dock doesn't have a diagnostic option?

 

No you cannot hook the tablet to the Dock. The Dock will not support the tablet.

Which GPS app were you using? The Truck GPS does not have this option since it gets it GPS from the tablet. Make sure the tablet is upright since the GPS antenna is on the back. The Splice also will amplify the GPS signal, but you have to have power plugged into the splice and not the tablet.

Have you installed any apps lately? Did it work before?

Their website shows nothing in Alabama, and it is Good Hope. Jack's truck stop is there and it might have been rebranded.

Dock recognizes the tablet, just won't do anything for it? Update for later I guess...

Using 1) GPS Status and 2) GPS Test

Random GPS loss has happened since day 1 but was usually for a few miles at worst. It was all day today. Can't get power cord to stay in slice. Accidentally tripped over it one day and yanked cord out of slice will stay plugged direct into tablet but not slice.

Launcher was there and fine til about 5 mins ago, can configure launcher and set bottom three buttons, but will not show as main page...

 

There is a new wilco across the street....just opened up a few months ago...i am sure they havent updated website yet

 

All updates for the Tablet will come across Wi-Fi when you are connected to a hotspot.. forget the Dock/TND combo with the Tablet. The Dock was not written for Android.

Call RM about the slice, just tell them it will not power on the tablet with the cable plugged into the splice.... nothing more, nothing less.

Try the tablet on battery outside the truck and see if it picks up GPS. Hold it upright. If it does, then something in the truck is interfering with the GPS signal, if it does not, then probably a bad Tablet. Let RM Know.

Try pressing the reset button on the top and see if the launcher works properly and a reset. I will query RM about this also.
