Just my finger tips. I may have to buy some screen protectors.

    Side note-

Did anyone else send in for the TND GPS $30.00 rebate offer and have it rejected? Inmar (the rebate processing company) keeps changing the rules of the game so they don't have to pay out. First it was no purchase date on receipt (there was) and then they claimed the rebate offer date was invalid.

I see do not see the route headed to Beaverton (I lived there for 12 years). Do you think you might have a avoid segment in there?

    Thanks,
    Mark

You wanted to compare routes, so use your preferences or compare toll to non toll. If you have Toll set to avoid, then it will override that option.

Just a way to give the user more control over compare routes.

    Thanks,
    Mark

Not good. I will PM you my E-Mail address. I want all the information you have on this.

Must be some tough fingertips. I use an assortment of things and have not scratched a screen yet. Can you send me a picture of the screen?

    Thanks,
    Mark

    Email sent.

This happened during average, ordinary and general daily use with nothing but my fingertips.

My unit hasn't fallen off the mount and whenever I take it out of the truck, I put it into the original box (my RM case from Amazon hasn't arrived yet) so it's protected from any and all damage.

These aren't cheap... So, I handle it with kid gloves.

I'm almost afraid of dragging my finger across the screen to scroll the map for fear of gouging the screen any further. It happened just that easily...

What are the chances that RM would cover this?

    Thanks Mark.

BTW- Did RM ever get back to you concerning the low ground clearance POI?

Good day ! I have TND 720 that developed a problem discussed earlier in this post but I can't seem to find a solution. After updating to 4.31.3322.0040 unit developed occasional delayed response to a touchscreen after start up. Clicking on agreement button would take up to a minute to go to the next screen, and that's in the event if it would advance at all. Sometimes " "Gave up waiting for the main navigation to initialize!" message would pop up. Most of the time hard reset would cure the problem, but recently " system file missing! " error comes up and it will not reset. Unit connected to a dock shows " connected " but dock doesn't recognize it being connected even though windows pops up 2 dialog boxes with options to view files on the device itself and memory card ( 16Gb SDhc class 1 ). Is there a list of system files needed ? How can system files be re-loaded to the GPS? Any help is appreciated ! Thanks in advance !

I wrote to the POI-Factory and they cannot find it. It might have been pulled by the author. My Boss is in Asia right now and I will write him and see if we have a copy still around.

I see the screen and the abuse I put mine through does not cause that. I did ask my boss about the other item.

    Thanks,
    Mark

I would first check to make sure the SD Card is formatted to Fat 32. Under Computer/right click/manage/-one of the items allows you to look at the drives and see how they are formatted.

If it NFTS, then copy all the files off the SD Card onto your desktop and right click on the drive that is your SD Card, format, look at format type and make sure it is Fat 32. Quick format, then copy the files back onto the SD Card.

The computer will see the SD Card no matter what format, but the Dock will only see Fat 32 since the TND is Fat 32.

    Thanks,
    Mark

Both , GPS & SD card are FAT32.
