    Tablet

Settings/storage/3 dots in right/usb computer connection/check - USB large storage.

File manager (on apps)/3 dots bottom right/settings/show hidden files and folders - check.

    <<>>

Connect your TND to the computer and copy the Navi/User folder to your desktop.

    <<>>

Connect your Tablet to the computer

Turn on USB storage (bottom right) on android man screen
    OK to Popup

On your computer open up a file explorer.
Find the TNDT80 (drive) and click on it.
    .navi/user

    <<>>

Take from your desktop the Navi/user folder and open it.
Under the addressBook folder copy the addrbook.db from the desktop to the .navi/user/addressbook on the tablet.

Same for the Navi/user/History folder (TND) to the .navi/user/History folder (tablet)

same for the Navi/user/trip.db (TND) to the .navi/user/trip.db (tablet)

    <<>>

if you wish to copy your mileage/fuel/avoided routes, this will be under the RM folder on the TND.

Copy from the Navi/RM/User to the tablet .navi/rm/user folder. All the .db files.

    Thanks,
    Mark

I think the protective screen that comes with the tablet (and maybe the others) should have some printing on the stiff covers that sandwich the sheet. I didn't know what I was doing and tried to use the stiff film thinking it was the protective sheet. When it didn't stick that told me it was not the right one. Then when I peeled the flexible film off the second stiff cover thinking that must be the right one I folded the flexible film with a crease to aid in peeling it off and when the second stiff sheet didn't stick I discovered that all along the correct one was the one I ruined by folding a crease in it. Since it only comes with one I had to make it work but there is a horizontal line across the screen that won't lay flat now. At $12 for a new one this bad one will have to do for now. The stiff throw-aways sheets should of had some warning printed on there " Screen protector under this stiff sheet" or something to that effect. In other words typical example of not being "idiot" proof enough.

I passed that to RM. The IPad Mini Glass fits the tablet. You have the power hole, but it does not affect anything. Get them to install it.

    Thanks,

Just like the Airplane mode button on my cellphone shouldn't the TND Tablet have a GPS mode button? Is it possible too many apps running in the background might be the reason for the unit to freeze up on occasion? The button would need to be in plain site for quick activation and not buried in the settings menu somewhere.

Not understanding you GPS Mode Button question.

Explain the freeze up, the Truck GPS app or the tablet itself?

    Thanks,

I just purchased the tnd tablet and so far so good, just a few questions.
I skipped the first setup menu to setup the WiFi and register the device and put my name in, how can I go back and change j smith to my name. Then once I change my name does this have a logging program built into the rand map program or do I have to download a different app?

I entered my name and registered and J smith is still showing. Waiting to hear the solution.

I have only had the Tablet for a couple of days now so really no chance for it to freeze yet. I was merely suggesting that a GPS Mode button be invented so the driver can shut down all background programs that may be running on the tablet side of the unit. That would leave only the GPS running while driving and thus prevent freeze ups. Freeze ups are usually caused by over loading the small amount of RAM with too many apps. When they run all the time in the background it makes it worse. Sure you can manually go and shut everything down but not many people know or remember which are running and which are not. I think 2 Gig of RAM should of been the minimum for it to truly be a muti-tasking driver tool.

On the main screen, at the bottom, the 3rd icon (looks like two squares), tap on that.

You will now see all the Apps that are running. Swipe up to close them.

    Thanks,
    Mark
