TND 530/730 - Map and version update are now available on the Dock. High speed internet is suggested. Version 3575 will be the version.

520/720 should be available for map/version in a week or two.

    Thanks,
    Mark

730 is a pile of crap . Worked nice for a while a short while . malfunctions get worse every week . Hitting rough spots in roads changes screen to different views and out of map view . Power connections problems . powers up by it's self . Shuts off constantly . Battery is crap . Power button will no longer shut it off unless press it many times or just leave it on and it will shut down soon enough . As far as mapping goes I give it a good score over anything else I have used but the shoddy construction is not what i expect for 430 bucks or even 50 .
I would not recommend this to anyone .
forget warranty . Had it about 4 months and told no warranty repair . 99 more bucks to try and repair .

Anyone else have problems with GPS on Sunday? My truck speed was 60 but the TND was showing 57-65 and was going way off route when I was on the interstate. GPS issue, not a map issue. It happened along 94 in Wisconsin and Minnesota. The unit in question is a 530 bought a few weeks ago and updated to 4.32.3540.1734 serial 530-032903

Fixed It ! I am not the only one that has had this problem . How ever I took it apart. Charging and turning off were due to loose
Usb . Pushed down the tabs on connector to tighten up when vCard able is plugged in . Then hot glued plug in place so it does not get loose again .
Screen changing problems and no shut off
Were caused by screen not being attached good. One screw in the corner where there is no tab holding screen was not screwed in properly and one tab was not over screen . Screen was bouncing around . Works great once again.

I have tested quite a few 730's and I have never seen this. It sounds like it was dropped at one point in time which jarred loose the internal parts.

Was this bought new or used?

You mention that you are not the only one with this problem. How many have you seen personally or who else has this issue or is this a blanket statement?

    Thanks,
    Mark

Currupt file on 730.... missing UUID ? Any chance you can remote this ? I uninstalled dock and then tried to install again...but no kool-aid. Problems that arose prior were locking up, Nav error and shutting down. HELP !
