I updated my 720 last night and it went fine. Go ahead and try your 520.
Those who are having issues with the 720 update, have you recently upgraded to Win 10? If so, did you uninstall the Dock and re-install?
Thanks,
Mark -
regular update first, then the maps?
I am running a Mac -
Map first.
Thanks,
Markclassic_150 Thanks this. -
Upgraded to Win 10 but didn't uninstall dock first but have since uninstalled and re-installed dock several times.

There seems to be some confusion as to HazMat routing. Columbus, OH for example, you have to take I-270 around even though you are going from for example I-70 to I-71. Anything in the city limits is restricted to HazMat through routing.
Here are some links to help you in showing Dispatch the legal truck routes for HazMat. If you are routed on a restricted HazMat route you will need to inform your dispatch. Remember you are the professional driver and you are responsible for following posted signage. Usually the HazMat signs are shown as HC on freeways.
If you decide to take "your route" you can get a hefty fine/points if caught.

Any word on device & map updates to the x10 generation units?
-
Nothing back from RM yet. They are still testing on the x10's. Nothing back yet on tablets either.
Thanks,

Is the map update for the 720 already available? If I open the dock without the 720 attached, will I see that there is a map update available? Hubby doesn't get his 720 out of the truck unless I ask him to bring it home for an update, and I have opened the dock several times lately, but the "Map Update Available" button is always greyed out. Do I need to have the 720 attached to see this map update?
-
Yes it is available and yes you need it connected. The Dock "sees" the device and sees if it needs an update or not based upon it looking at a file on the device and comparing it to the Dock Server DB.
Make sure you get an Micro SD Card. 8gb and at least class 10. It should have a 10 on it. This is the speed of the data transfer. A Class 4 will work, but the data transfer will be 2.5 times slower than the Class 10.
Thanks,
