My 730 absolutely refuses to route me into the Pilot Truckstop in Fort Myers FL
using I-75 exit 139. It always insists I use the exit before 139 approaching from north or south.

My Tablet died last night, showing a red battery with a Yellow triangle with an exclamation point, tried different plugs no joy, got my 730 as back up

Can you please pass along to them to put some freaking resources into fixing the ####ing Freezing bug ? The GPS has effectively turned into a paperweight anytime it gets near any major city, I'm back to using the big map and google maps as the GPS takes a crap as soon as it gets near a city and has to do any sort of work. The only way to pull it out of this is to click, Choose Destination, New Location and then Address then back up to the map, only to have it freeze again as it gets close to the next turn.

I have a 730 and a 720 that does this also 2 friends one that runs a 720 and one that runs a 520, both of them are at their wits end with RM and there crap support on this issue. It's been this way now for darn near a year now.
I'm not taking this out on you Mark, so please don't misunderstand but its total ######## how long this has went on. It has turned 400$ GPS's into nothing but window decorations.
Thanks.
Smoking_Joe Thanks this. -
I started having an issue with the screen on my 730. It goes white with a bunch of colorful vertical lines all over the place. Weird thing is, if i hold it from the suction cup mount with my hand, it goes back to normal. Squeezing the bottom also seems to fix it occasionally. But once I stick it to the windshield or even just place it down on a table or something, it goes back to white with those lines...
the unit is only 15 months old, seems like this shouldn't be happening. Is there any known fix for this problem? -
That is a LCD screen or video chip going bad, only fix is to replace the unit or screen. from the sounds of it the connections from the screen have prob broken loose. Out of warranty you can tare it apart and check the ribbon, but im guessing its internal in the screen

My tmd 730 is two months old, up until 2 weeks ago, it would come on and start working within 6 seconds of turning it on. Now it takes nearly 2 mins to turn on. It works fine, just takes much longer to power up. I did see weird lights in the sky the night it started acting up. Hmmmm. Makes one wonder.

Really, so that's the answer? Throw this $400 GPS in the trash and buy a new one when it's just over a year old?
Hopefully the card I used to buy this thing comes with warranty protection, that's ####ing unbelievable. -
They are good GPS units IMHO, however i dont think much common sense was undertaken in the design of the tablet, the dashcam is poorly designed for what it is intended to replace, i went and spent $200 on a dashcam with wifi with an amazing view of the entire front of the truck, i want to like the concept but it seems to appear that its production was entirely rushed
-
If you have ever torn any of these units apart you would see how little is actually invested in the unit it self. The board in the 720 was long out dated when it hit the shelves. The screen is of decent quality but the unit it self as a whole prob cost them around 100$ to make and prob less to mass produce. They are not exactly quality parts that go into the units. What your actually buying is the software. Which to be honest is very good, buy its at the mercy of the crappy hardware they use.

kinda pissed this tablet died, i am on the road for 6 weeks at a time and dont have time to return things to RM to get them fixed, as i am sure quite a few are in the same boat, but i have been happy with my 730
