I thought a 16gig card was the max it would read without issues. Not to mention it cant be a "Ultra" card

Internally the cable will adapt. RM is working with the different manufactures to resolve this.

    Thanks,
    Mark

The SD Card should be either a 8/16 GB.. Do not use the 32gb. They write data differently.

DO not use the Ultra/Ultra Plus/EVO/EMTEC.. These are considered an "ultra" card.

If the class has a "U" under it then do not use.

You will get different issues with the above cards. Cannot route, Dock cannot read, etc.

I posted an PDF to do an MD5, if you suspect your SD Card is having issues or just want to check the files on your external SD card run it and PM so you can send me the MD5 file so I can compare it to a base file.

    Thanks,
    Mark

Why does my tablet randomly restart and then have the date set to 1970?

and why oh why can't it give two practical routes when I compare. I mean 400 miles versus 700. Really

Humm.. that is a computer default date. Where are you seeing the Date? And the restart, is it the tablet or the Truck GPS app?

When you compare, do you use the option to compare based upon your settings?

    Thanks,
    mark

There is an easier way. What kind of SD Card are you using?

    Thanks,
    Mark

The tablet. It may not always be a random restart but occasionally a drained battery. Today I think it randomly shut off, I started it back up and date and time were wrong, changed it in the tablet settings but still wasn't right on the truck GPS, restarted again and was back to normal. Happened to me more than once. Really frustrating when I count on this thing to track mileage and I have to restart it too often while rolling.

And yes comparing routes based on my preferences, which I will look at again but I'm pretty sure I allow all

What do you use for the DC Source? On the tablet under settings you can see a battery graph. When connected to a power source the charge should be increasing. If it shows decreasing then you are not getting the proper power.

Do not use the USB/DC adapters, even rated at 2.4 a, the tablet will not charge properly.

Does it do the same on the USB port on the tablet and the slice?

What model is it? the 70 or 80?

    Thanks,
    mark

Sorry I should have specified, I'm not having charging problems, other than me unplugging it.
