It had installed some updates. I removed them. Rebooted the device and it is updating several files now including TruckNavigation_v1.0.28.3791.apk.

Any DC USB/DC cord will work if it is a Mini USB and rated at 5vdc/2amp, the USB/DC adapter will not work.

    Thanks,
    Mark

I go to Restore Backup, pick the backup to upload, hit the green arrow and......the Dock closes out, without any data transfer....

I have seen that happen on mine also. Are you on Win 10? Try again or does it do it each time?

    Thanks,
    Mark

    Did you do this?

    El Capitan - Dock (Mac)

Download the latest version of Xquartz.

    http://www.xquartz.org/
    Install and reboot your computer.

    Uninstall your Mac TND Dock.

Go to www.randmcnally.com/dock and re-install the Mac Dock.

    Thanks,
    Mark

    Mark,

Thank you for your help yesterday.
I installed the updates on my 80 tablet and am now at version 1.0.28.3791 and the device continues to get the "Unfortunately RM Services has stopped" dialog.

This is beginning to get frustrating. Would seem with the coin dropped on this there would not be this many issues.

Have I perhaps gotten a bad unit? Or is it as widespread as it appears to be. I hear of a lot of issues.

I actually purchased this to do a full review of the device for my peers. I have not started taking notes yet as I do understand things happen.

    Thanks in advance.

    Kevin

    RM asked for this info.

RMS would be under settings>apps>RM Services (Version number)

RM Launcher would be under settings>apps>RM Launcher (Version Number)

OS Build would be under settings>about tablet>build number (Build Number)

    Thanks,
    Mark
