    Mark,
My 720 is acting up. Lost green charge light moons ago......was red now orange. Full time too, unhook USB power and she's gone, immediately.

Now if you lose power screen goes white. Ignores all commands unless you reset. Wont answer on/off button or anything. Does function after reset but all daily data is lost.

    Thoughts?

Sounds similar to my problems. I tried a new power cord and that didn't fix it. Got it home and did a map update on the dock and now it's fixed. Don't ask me how. I suspected the charging port on the unit went bad. Might be your issue.

Do this and PM me with the results.

If you are on a Mac, you can Google how to do an MD5 on a Mac.

    Thanks,
    mark

For those having the charging issue... suspect a cold/broken solder joint on the Motherboard where the USB connector is soldered.... so living on borrowed time to quote.

I have one here I need look at, but you can PM me.

    Thanks,
    Mark

It's been working since I threatened it. .9 to 1.3. Used seen 10/12.

When not working was 0/12, 0/13, or 0/32 satellites.

Mark, IDK if this is the right place for this or not??? But there has been some rather major realignments to the 99 freeway here in CA. between Chowchilla and Merced and also in Atwater. Also (in what I believe to be a blatant speed trap) in Kettleman city there is a VERY small stretch of roadway that the speed limit changes several times in one mile. The unit has the OLD limits.
